Yes. All dealers in our network offer free collection within their operating area. If you are outside a dealer's zone, they may charge a small collection fee, which will always be disclosed before you accept a quote.
You do not need your V5C to scrap your car — a licensed ATF can still take it. However, you should tell the DVLA that you have scrapped the vehicle. Your scrapping dealer will usually give you a Certificate of Destruction (CoD) which you can use to notify the DVLA and claim any remaining tax.
Most authorised scrap dealers pay by bank transfer on the day of collection or the next working day. Cash in hand is no longer legal for scrap metal sales in England, Scotland and Wales.
